A Roadmap For Creating Your Ideal Lifestyle – Part Two

Alright, so let’s continue the conversation we started in the last article about building your ideal lifestyle.

In part one, I talked about the importance of thinking about what your ideal lifestyle looks like. Because if you don’t, then it will never just happen by accident.

You’ve got to be specific and deliberate about creating what it is you want.

Then, I gave you the first SIX strategies to do exactly that.

Today, let’s bring it home and show you what else you need to build a roadmap to achieving your ideal lifestyle.

A Contrarian Approach

Before I give you the last steps, I just want to mention that you’ll notice these steps are different from what most people do.

In fact, I often do the complete OPPOSITE. That’s because I take a very “contrarian” approach to success and to life.

So just keep that in mind as you read these. Because in order to achieve the life you want, you’ll have to do different things than what “normal” or “average” people do.

Make sense?

Good!

Here are the remaining steps to creating your IDEAL life!

Step 7 – Outsource Low Dollar-Per-Hour Activities

Creating your ideal life is going to take time and focus. And you can’t have those two things if you’re constantly doing low-dollar per hour activities like mowing the lawn … running errands … cleaning your house … and more.

So outsource them.

You heard that right. Pay someone to mow your lawn, do your laundry, go grocery shopping, whatever it is that you do that eats up your time that someone else could easily do for a couple of bucks an hour.

Now, I know that you might be thinking “what!? – Why would I pay someone else to do something I’m perfectly capable of doing on my own!! Won’t that mean I’m lazy or entitled?”

Remember how I said you’ve got to do things DIFFERENTLY than everyone else?

This is one of those things. Sure, you COULD do all that stuff – but then, where will you get the time to really work on what matters … creating your ideal life?

This is why this one thing can be an absolute GAME CHANGER. It was for me.

When I first started outsourcing these tasks and hired a personal assistant, it felt WEIRD. But I was committed to my success and to living the life I dreamed of.

And now it’s perfectly normal and it’s why I have a lot more free time and the time to do the things that matter to me.

So I urge you to NOT skip this step and actually DO IT!

And remember, you don’t have to go out and spend a bunch of money. Start small. Hire out just one task and see how it goes. Deal?

Step 8 – Invest in Assets, Experiences, and Learning

So this has always been a very big thing that I’ve focused on and a mindset of mine is investing in assets, experiences, and learning … instead of investing my money in THINGS.

A big mistake I see people make is they want to project this “rich” image, so they buy fancy cars, a huge house, nice watches, or whatever. I’m not saying these things are inherently bad.

But they are detrimental to your success if you buy them at the expense of having assets, experiences, and knowledge.

That’s because assets are going to give you cash flow and help you build your wealth long term.

Experiences are going to be the things you’re probably going to value and look back on the most at the end of your life. These are the things that will put a smile on your face.

And finally, learning is what’s going to give you the skill sets and develop your own capabilities to be able to earn more, do more, offer more value, serve more, etc.

Step 9 – Be Willing To Be Different

This is absolutely important. Remember, If you do the same as everybody else, you’re going to get the same result.

This is something I’m so glad I learned early on. Even some of these steps I’ve been laying out here in this roadmap are going to be DIFFERENT than the norm. That’s okay.

And sure, it might be a little uncomfortable at first, but that’s how you grow and get to where you want to be. Because by definition, what you want but don’t have yet, is outside of your current comfort zone.

Step 10 – Automate Your Success

I’m always looking for ways to put systems in my life and business that help me get the results I want.

So what do I mean by this?

Well, for example, having a personal assistant is something I made sure I did. I know when I’ve got that in place, it frees up the time for me to then be able to go enjoy the weekend or enjoy a night off or something like that.

When it comes to investing in real estate, I automate the process as much as possible. All I have to do now, is find a property and let my real estate agent know. The rest pretty much happens “automatically.”

Same with my online business.

Find ways to systematize and automate as much of your life as possible.

Step 11 – Learn To Create Memorable Experiences Without Money

This last one is so important. You want to learn to live below your means and have the ability to create memorable experiences without having to spend money.

Because if you buy things you don’t need, soon enough you’ll have to sell things that you do need. That’s just the reality I’ve seen. And unfortunately, I had to see a few people go through that sort of stuff, but I found that living below your means is a really good trait and characteristic to have.

This is especially true when you decide to invest in other things like stocks, real estate, or even other businesses.

Doing this will also show you that you don’t need a TON of money to live your ideal lifestyle. People are often surprised it takes a lot LESS money than they initially thought. It was a limiting belief that they had, thinking they needed all this money to make it happen.

When you learn to create great and awesome experiences with no money, you have the ultimate skill. Because the truth is, money only enhances what’s already there. So if you know how to have a good time without it, having it will only make it better.

And best of all, doing so will help you a LOT when it comes to living below your means, so you have cash to invest in your future.

All right, so that’s how to build your ideal lifestyle.

I want to reiterate that my intention with this is to inspire you to really think about creating your ideal lifestyle … give you some ideas … and really get the wheels turning for you.

Remember, none of this stuff happens by accident.

So make sure you take at least one or two nuggets from this and start implementing it in your life!

If you can do that, then I promise that in six months, a year, two years, etc – your life will be totally different and you’ll be well on your way to living YOUR perfect life.
