Seven “Millionaire Mindsets” That Helped Me Build Long-Term Wealth

One of the most important things you can have when it comes to building wealth is to have the right “mindsets.”

I know this from personal experience.

When I didn’t have the right mindsets, I found myself working at my local Chamber of Commerce for $15.83 an hour. I was saving money in jars, terrified of debt, and thought one day I’d save enough to magically become rich.

I was in for a rude awakening.

Fortunately, I had a mentor who set me straight. And then I met my current business partner and mentor, Eben Pagan. Since then, I’ve totally upgraded my mindsets and want to share them with you.

It’s because of these mindsets that I’ve been able to build a multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio … and own a 7-figure online business.

And today, I want to share them with you:

The 7 “Millionaire Mindsets”

Read through these seven mindsets. But don’t try and master them all at once. Pick one or two you want to focus on each month. This way, you’ll really let these mindsets become a part of who you are … and they’ll eventually guide your decisions and behaviors.

Mindset #1 – Wealth-Building is a skill ANYONE can learn.

So many people think that wealth is something you’re just “born” with. It’s not.

Wealth-building is a skill. It takes action, practice, and lots of learning.

Start by reading books. Get a mentor. Do whatever you need to do to start learning this skill NOW, rather than later. Because the sooner you get started, the more you can let time work in your favor to build your wealth.

Mindset #2 – There is always a way.

So many times, I see people give up at the first sign of a challenge. This is such a HUGE mistake!

That’s why whenever I come across a challenge or obstacle, my immediate reaction is to think to myself, “There’s always a way.”

Having this mindset opens up possibilities. It lets you ask questions like “OK, there IS a way. What can I do to make this work?” “What could a possible solution be?”

Mindset #3 – Money Is A Tool.

As you’ve learned from some of my previous articles on wealth, money has no intrinsic value. It’s just a tool you can use to build your wealth generation machine.

Always keep this in mind – especially if your tendency is to “chase” money. Always remember that the value is actually in ASSETS, not money itself.

Keeping this in mind will also help you make better, more disciplined financial and investment decisions.

Mindset #4 – More value equals more wealth.

Your income and wealth will be directly proportionate to the value you create and provide. This is why you must focus on giving value , all the time.

And when you buy assets to grow your wealth, you want to always consider how much VALUE that asset can provide.

So instead of “chasing” money … always seek value. Because the more of it you can generate, the wealthier YOU will become.

Mindset #5 – Speed of Implementation.

The biggest predictor of success is how fast you take an idea and put it into action.

Far too many people will take a course, read a book, etc … and then do NOTHING with what they just learned.

Don’t let that be you. “Money loves speed.” So make it a challenge to implement what you learn as QUICKLY as possible. Because that’s how you’ll get better and able to deliver more and more value, bringing in more money into your reality as a result.

Mindset #6 – Don’t be afraid of debt.

Have you heard the myth that all debt is bad?

Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not. In fact, it’s next to impossible NOT to use debt, if you want to build wealth quickly.

The key is, to ONLY use debt to acquire a cash-flow producing asset.

Mindset #7 – Always ask “Why Not The Best?”

Just ask yourself this question over and over. Look at your decisions and ask, “why not the best?”

Sometimes we think that we’re limited by our potential or think we need to settle for things that are less than ideal. Asking this question “upgrades” your mindset and eventually, your life.

It’s Up To You

Those seven mindsets have been instrumental in my life. And I hope they help you as much as they’ve helped me.

Oh and one last thing I want to mention … you’ve got to take 100% responsibility for your success. So make it a point to seriously adopt these mindsets. Remember, nothing changes unless YOU change.

I suggest you print this list of mindsets out. Then review the one or two you want to focus on, daily. Then let them guide you when it comes time to make decisions or take action.

You’ll thank me later! 🙂
